ok so i am desperate im trying to go to jersey the 6th and of course shit hits the fan.

my timing was off a tooth on the crank so i drove it for a while cuz i knew it would suck to do. it ran fine apart from lack of power. so i start doing it. i pull the valve cover off the oil pan and the front cover do it and put it back together. go to start it up no oil pressure at all wtf

i pulled it all off again and put my other front cover on that also worked and i packed the pump with grease first which i didnt do the first time

i check the oil passages and as far as i could see it was ok

the pick up looks good my oil pan is fine

im using teh greddy oil pressure gauge with teh adapter on teh oil filter so i know its not lying plus u can hear it doesnt sound right or good

am i forgetting somethin im stumped please help

thanks dave

how long did you crank it?

I've never heard of greasing an oil pump, but I'd definitely pull the fuel pump fuse and crank it til it builds a little oil pressure before you start it.
